As a representative of the HOA Board, we work hard to put your community’s best interests first—to ensure that everything is running smoothly and that the standards of the Association are being maintained. The purpose of a HOA is to maintain property values, maintain the common scheme of the community, and maintain the enjoyment of all living in the Landings.
Living in a community with neighbors close by can have it difficulties. Everyone wants to be a good neighbor and comply with the governing documents, but sometimes issues come about. Working with your HOA is the first priority to rectify the situation.
1. Determine if it is an HOA issue.
2. If it is an HOA issue, contact the appropriate Board Member concerning the matter. Express what is important to you diplomatically through the proper channels.
3. Communicate with the Board and let them know your concerns, ideas, and suggestions. For the Board to do their job right, communicate with them, but do so in the proper way and do not be judgmental. Give constructive feedback when improvement is needed and allow the Board the opportunity for improving. Remember, the Board members are your neighbors and they are volunteers. They should be treated just how you would like to be treated, with respect and consideration.
4. Work with your HOA, not against it to help solve your problem. Be proactive by offering suggestions to come up with viable solutions.
